Greeting's Hun!

thanks for dropping by! You can call me Lulu or LuluBelle--that's my nickname and I am the administrator of this community! I'm writing this blog to try and explain the purpose and goals of RibbonCIRCUIT as a community and a Galcircle :3 Wish me luck (^.^;)! 

For starters, RibbonCIRCUIT & Friends is a community here on livejournal, and based out of Houston, Texas, that is dedicated to the many BelleGal here in Americaland.  What is a BelleGal you ask?? Simple. I coined the word 'BelleGal' after the phrase Southern Belle which is by definition basically a beautiful, charming (well-dressed) and sweet girl from the Southern States. BelleGal then is a Gal from the Southern States! IF YOUR NOT FROM THE SOUTH, BEGONE!!!.....

KIDDING!!! Seriously, if you're not from the South or don't live in the Houston that's not a problem! RC&F is a circle/community that accepts anyone! Which brings me to an important point:

Our goal is not to alienate ourselves from other gals, its the exact opposite!

I chose to create  this community/Gal-sa because more than anything I wanted to create a place that would allow me to meet more Gals not just in my city, but more gals, period! I've learned that the Gal-lifestlye is unique because you can take it and  put your own personal twist to it. You don't have to follow one style, you can mix and match and make it yours! RC&F amongst other things, is a community  for Gals to admire and support other unique portrayals of the Gal-lifestyle.

So by now you're probably thinking "that's all fine and everything but is RC&F a Gal-sa or an online community??!?"
Ya, I know I can be confusing (^.^;). To clear that up, RC&F  is both.  As a matter of fact we wrestled with whether we would call ourselves a circle at all, because that would then force us to have choose between being an Ive-sa or a Nago-sa, so we never did. Our solution was simple! We would be a circle, that was also an online community. We would sponsor events, contests and meet-ups and encourage the creation of long-lasting  friends and friendships both on and offline!  Think of us as a group or a club or a circle or whatever you like, just think of us :D

On to a more serious note!--RC&F does not promote any type of Exclusivity, Elitistism or Bashing of Gyaru Preferences!! We support all types of gyaru because we are all types of gyaru. Think of this as our Golden Rule...Well since we're Gals, we can call it the Diamond Rule ;) This means that if you are caught in any way bashing someone, critiscizing their style, talking about  anyones preferences, or anything of the sort, we will take immediate action against you. It doesn't matter if you're 100% gyaru or hime-gyaru or whatever! I mean, it's no secret that as a whole, American Gals are not as united as they should be. Everywhere we look we see Gal's who are divided or against one another or trying to separate themselves and rightly so, it's causing girls to think twice before joining and for some to even LEAVE gal circles. RC&F wants to change this. We want a cohesive and supportive enviroment. If you have nothing nice to say, you don't need to be apart of RC&F. I know that its harsh, but there's no other way! We all have to work toghether to get the view of American Gyaru to change.

What kind of gal SHOULD join RC&F?
We accept all kind of Gyaru here! If you love the gyaru lifestyle, then you're in. If your looking for more specific guidelines besides the Diamond Rule, we've got one:

 We promote new and innovative American gyaru styles here, and ultimately would like to cultivate true American Charisma Gals if possible ;) so if you've got a personal sense of original style, we want to see it!

As a Gal-sa and online community, as I mentioned before, we will be hosting many contests and events. This includes picnics, barbeques, movie nights, sleepovers, photoshoots, karaoke events, birthday parties, trips, shopping days, fashion contests,season themed contests etc...and much, much more! it is NOT mandatory that you enter every contest or go to every event, BUT I guarantee that there will be awesome prizes and give-aways for everything we do so I would advise at least trying :)

We want to have an ACTIVE circle/community and we guarantee at least 2 posts every week. We will be posting everything from articles, to interviews to tutorials! New posts will be available Monday evening and  Thursday Evening. We will be checking the community, though, to answer questions and  to monitor what is happening.
